Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or CBT for short) is an active form of therapy that helps you to understand how patterns of thoughts or cognitions and behaviours can affect how we feel. Broadly speaking we work on the principle that whilst we can't change the past, we can understand how it has informed and shaped the present and learn ways to change how we think and respond with the aim of changing how we feel.
I am currently offering either online video or telephone CBT sessions and whilst it might be a little bit strange at first most people find that they get used to it quickly and that there are some benefits (for example no travel, no parking fees, sessions in the comfort of your own home).
